DJ Champion presents the premiere of his new show, °1 (pronounced “degree one”). While remaining faithful to electronica and electric guitars, the two pillars of the Champion sound, the artist delves into classical music this time. Accompanied by his G-Strings and Montreal orchestra I Musici conducted by Jean-Marie Zeitouni, with arrangements by Jean-Nicolas Trottier, it’s an electro-lounge orchestral concert courtesy of DJ Champion.

A great choral feast! This summer, the Festival de Lanaudière extends to amateur singers an invitation to join the ranks of two Lanaudière choirs for rehearsals and a performance on the stage of the Fernand Lindsay Amphitheater.
A Choral Celebration to close out I Musici’s Season

The closing concert of the Orchestre de chambre I Musici de Montréal’s 2012-2013 season takes place at the Maison symphonique on May 24, 2013, under the direction of Jean-Marie Zeitouni. A bona fide French-style Choral Celebration, the program will feature works by Ravel, Fauré, Debussy, Canteloube, Chausson and Duruflé. To mark the occasion, I Musici will see its roster increased to 36 musicians, in addition to being accompanied by the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal’s vocal ensemble as well as organist and pianist François Zeitouni, mezzo-soprano Julie Boulianne and baritone Phillip Addis.

From the unbridled passion of Bizet’s Carmen recast by Russian composer Rodion Shchedrin to the sublime Astor Piazzolla’ s Fourth Seasons of Buenos Aires. Come early! To open the concert, the organist François Zeitouni will interpret a piece by the composer J-S Bach.
