  • Georg Friedrich Handel – Messiah

Handel wrote his oratorio Messiah in English in 1741, and it was first performed during Lent and Holy Week given that the work’s second and third parts deal with the Passion, the Resurrectionand the Ascension of Christ. In the original spirit of this masterpiece, therefore, Jean-Marie Zeitouni presents this great classic, in collaboration with the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal and its artistic director, Christopher Jackson. This exceptional concert will mark I Musici’s inaugural performance at the Nouvelle Salle at Place des arts. Don’t miss this special event!
