Jean-Marie Zeitouni welcomes Anne-Julie Caron as guest performer for the concert ¡ Viva la marimba !

The Orchestre de chambre I Musici de Montréal and conductor Jean-Marie Zeitouni welcome marimbist and vibraphonist Anne-Julie Caron for the ensemble’s first concert of 2013, presented as part of the Ogilvy Series. The program will feature works by Joaquín Rodrigo, Nino Rota and Emmanuel Séjourné, as well as the premiere of a work by Julien Bilodeau, one of the leading figures in the new generation of Montreal composers.

HEAT WAVE ON THE PROGRAM: JEAN-MICHEL MALOUF DIRECTS TANGO BORÉAL FOR THE PRESENTATION OF A LATINO COCKTAIL

The Orchestre de chambre I Musici de Montréal’s next Ogilvy concert series, Latino Cocktail, promises to be among the sunniest! On December 13, 14 and 15, Jean-Michel Malouf, the Tango Boréal ensemble and the musicians of I Musici invite audiences to spurn Quebec’s winter in favour of the warmer climes of Spain and Argentina. The musical menu will feature traditional tango with a sprinkling of Piazzolla and some Denis Plante, with pieces taken from his superb album Tango Boréal.
