YOUTH AND EDUCATION

Concert-workshops

Because involvement on the part of each and everyone is the key to meeting a shared objective.

Led by the conductor, I Musici de Montréal concert-workshops are geared to primary- and secondary-level students. Working with the 15 participating musicians under his direction, the maestro presents the orchestra as a metaphor for teamwork by drawing several parallels between the conductor’s role and that of the schoolteacher. These workshops favour the acquisition of knowledge and the development of leadership attitudes and values, thus motivating youth to become the authors of their own success. At the same time, participants discover chamber music with an internationally renowned orchestra amid an atmosphere based on participation.

I’ve received nothing but rave reviews from everyone: your presence was hugely rewarding on an artistic level, and it left us with nothing but good memories! — Christine Bellefleur, presenter with Muni-Spec Mont-Laurier
