For this 36th season, we invite you to a musical feast celebrating the great masters, emerging talents, creation and our diversity. We’re proud to blaze the trail and to continue our role as repertoire explorers of works for chamber orchestra.
To celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven, we have the pleasure of welcoming back the brilliant violinist Vadim Gluzman performing the sublime Violin Concerto. What’s more, in a first appearance with I Musici, the French pianist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet will present the 4th Concerto played on Bourgie Hall’s Érard piano.
During the upcoming season I am honoured to share the podium with my colleagues Gemma New, Dinuk Wijeratne and — back by popular demand — Maxim Rysanov.
I Musici is proud to share the spotlight with some of the best performers in the country. From cellist Cameron Crozman to soprano Myriam Leblanc, from violinist Kerson Leong to mezzo-soprano Rose Naggar-Tremblay and French horn player Louis-Philippe Marsolais, their artistry shines on.
I Musici will continue to inspire creation, contributing to its musical legacy, by adding commissions by the likes of Kelly-Marie Murphy and Dinuk Wijeratne. As if it couldn’t get better, we will be performing, for the first time in Montreal, recent works by Guillaume Connesson and Missy Mazzoli.
Join us on this exciting and memorable musical adventure!
