Biography
Active on the music scene for more than 25 years, conductor and pianist Roseline Blain is a versatile, expressive artist who distinguishes herself through her inspired, in-depth personal interpretations.
Creating, sharing, collaborating and pooling resources are intrinsic to her way of being and conceiving artistic projects.
Guest conductor of the National Youth Choir of Canada for the 2024 edition, Roseline Blain became the first woman in Quebec to obtain this prestigious position in forty years. Very active on the Quebec and Canadian choral scene, she is guest conductor at Domaine Forget, as well as having held the position of Head of the Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting and of the Summer School of Choral Singing at the Université de Sherbrooke during the sabbatical of tenured professor Robert Ingari.
She conducts several renowned vocal ensembles in the greater Montreal area, most of which have won awards. Her rigor, fire and contagious passion make her a sought-after conductor and collaborator. Many have called on her leadership skills, including the Orchestre symphonique de Québec, which she conducted in December 2024. She has collaborated with a number of ensembles, including the Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal, with whom she conducted a dozen concerts in Europe, the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Orchestre Métropolitain, the Orchestre de l’Agora, the Orchestre classique de Montréal, the Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de Montréal and the Orchestre de la Francophonie.
