22 Nov I Musici is nominated for two Opus Awards
Having been nominated in the category of Production de l’année – Jeune public as part of the 23rd edition of the Prix Opus, I Musici will once again present a children’s concert this December. It will be held at the McCord Museum on December 21st and 22nd under the baton of Jean-Michel Malouf. Enchanted Music will allow participants young and old to relive the magic of Ogilvy’s holiday window displays (1866-2011), now at the McCord Museum, as well as the legendary Tudor Hall concerts, performing winter songs and holiday classics including the popular Symphony of Toys by Leopold Mozart (arr. Edmund Angerer).
Moreover, I Musici is also nominated in the Concert de l’année – Répertoires multiples category for Portraits of Women, presented in October 2018. This concert brought together Jean-Marie Zeitouni, the musicians, sopranos Aline Kutan, France Bellemare, and Cécile Muhire, mezzo-sopranos Mireille Lebel, Florence Bourget, and Hélène Delalande, members of the Schulich Chamber Choir, and narrator and actor Anne-Marie Cadieux.
Winners of the Prix Opus will be announced at a Gala ceremony on January 19, 2020, at 3 pm at Bourgie Hall of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. The Prix Opus celebrate the excellence and diversity of concert music in Québec.
