By “adopting” a musician, you directly contribute to the artistic vitality of the ensemble. Your annual support helps ensure inspiring working conditions, sustains artistic creation, and allows I Musici to shine on stages here and abroad. But beyond the philanthropic gesture, this is a true human encounter:

What is the “Adopt a Musician!” program?
It’s a unique way to support I Musici de Montréal while building a personal connection with the ensemble’s artists.
By “adopting” a musician, you directly contribute to their work and to the vitality of our chamber orchestra. You become a true artistic and human partner.
What does an adoption actually involve?
Your annual contribution allows you to sponsor a member of the ensemble ($2,500) or the concertmaster ($20,000).
This donation directly supports artistic activities — rehearsals, concerts, tours, and new creative projects.
Will I meet the musician I adopt?
Yes! Our goal is to foster genuine connections between our musicians and the public.
Patrons are invited to exclusive moments such as open rehearsals, friendly post-concert gatherings, or special events throughout the season.
How long does the adoption last?
Each adoption is valid for one season (one year).
Of course, you’re welcome to renew your support annually.
Can I adopt more than one musician?
Absolutely! Some patrons choose to sponsor several artists.
Every gesture counts and helps strengthen the unity of the ensemble.
Will my name be made public?
Yes — if you wish.
Your name will appear in our concert programs and on our website as a token of recognition.
You may also choose to remain anonymous.
What happens after I make my adoption?
You will receive a personalized confirmation, an introduction to your musician, a charitable donation receipt, and invitations to exclusive events.
Throughout the season, you’ll also receive updates on highlights and upcoming projects featuring your adopted artist.
Can I offer an adoption as a gift?
What a wonderful idea! Yes, you can offer an adoption to a loved one, a music lover, or even a company.
We will prepare a personalized certificate and an introduction to the adopted musician.
Will I receive a tax receipt?
Yes. An official charitable donation receipt will be issued for the full amount of your contribution.
